Easter day celebration on 5th April 2010

Environmental Awareness
The children enjoyed indoor and outdoor games and activities.

Will we ever find eggs in the lawn?
Egg party is a good way to give back to the environment on a sunny day and recycle the crumbled egg shells into the garden. This fun activity allows children to get dirty while the family bonds together to make a difference for the environment. The egg shells are excellent for compost in garden soil due to the nutrients they possess, such as calcium.
Hopping like a rabbit!
The Easter bunny or rabbit comes from the hare, another ancient, pre-Christian symbol of fertility associated with spring. Anglo-Saxon mythology says Eostara changed her pet bird into a rabbit to entertain a group of children, and the rabbit laid brightly coloured eggs for them???
